Cooking instructions
How do I cook my pies?
For best results, we recommend cooking your pies from frozen.
Just follow the 5 easy steps below for the perfect pie:
1. Pre-heat your oven to around 195c (gas mark 5)
2. Remove pie(s) from the freezer and place on a baking tray before placing into the oven. Please note the pie should be cooked in the foil and not removed from it before cooking.
3. Cook for around 40-45 minutes until piping hot in the middle.
4. Remove the pies from the oven and leave to stand for around 6-7 minutes. This will help the pastry firm up and make the pie easier to remove from the foil.
5. Remove the pie from the outer foil and serve! If it sticks, try gently teasing the foil away from the top of the pie by making a small cut in the foil with scissors or a knife.
Can I cook my pies with an air fryer?
Yes! Follow the steps above but use a temperature of 190°C and adjust the time to 35 minutes.
Delivery
Will my pies be delivered frozen?
Yes, our pies are delivered frozen using temperature-controlled packaging. They should be placed straight in the freezer upon receipt.
Who will deliver my pies?
Your order will typically be delivered by DHL.
Where do you deliver to?
Currently, we only deliver to commercial and residential addresses within the UK, excluding the Scottish Highlands & Islands and Northern Ireland.
When will I receive my pies?
Dispatch schedule
Orders are dispatched within 2 working days (Monday–Friday) of being placed. As soon as your pies leave us, we'll send you a dispatch confirmation email.
Check your delivery details
Please ensure your delivery address and postcode are correct when placing your order. If you need to make any changes, you must contact us within 2 hours of placing your order.
Unfortunately, we cannot provide refunds or replacements for orders where an incorrect address was entered at checkout.
Requesting a delivery date
If you would like to request a specific delivery date, please contact us within 2 hours of placing your order.
Important: do not change your delivery date with DHL
Our pies are carefully packaged to remain frozen and arrive with you in perfect condition within the agreed 24-hour delivery window.
Changing your delivery date directly with DHL increases the risk of the pies defrosting in transit, making them unsafe to consume. For this reason, any parcels that cannot be delivered on the day after dispatch may be destroyed by DHL in accordance with our delivery agreement.
As a result, we are unable to offer refunds or replacements for orders that arrive defrosted, damaged or are destroyed after delivery date changes have been made directly with the courier.
Delivery attempts & safe places
DHL will make one delivery attempt only.
If you are unlikely to be home, you can choose one of the following alternatives:
• Deliver to a neighbour
• Leave in a safe place
If no preference is selected, DHL will leave your parcel in what they consider to be the most appropriate safe place in line with our delivery agreement. We recommend adding specific instructions (for example, "garden shed" or "front porch") to help guide the driver and ensure a successful delivery.
Pie size and packaging
How big are the pies and will they fit in my freezer?
The pies are 250g each (a substantial meal for one) and the outer box is 315mm x 220mm x 50mm which fits inside most freezer drawers.
How are my pies packaged?
Your pies are sent in cardboard recyclable packaging. They will arrive frozen and will need putting straight in the freezer (unless you can't wait and put them straight in the oven!) Slight defrost may occur on the outside of the pastry, but this is normal and your pies won't be affected.
How long can I keep my pies in the freezer?
Your pies will have a use by date displayed on the outer box label but for best results we recommend using them within 3 months of receiving them. But they rarely last that long!
